We are thrilled to announce that we are proceeding with the 2020 Cheer season.
Twin Boro Cheer’s absolute number one priority for the season is safety and health of our cheerleaders and their families. We will be taking extensive steps to ensure that all participants are safe. The details of our safety procedures are being fine-tuned and will be distributed to parents before our first practice. Parents will need to sign off on this safety procedure before cheerleaders can participate.
Practices: The start and end time for each individual squad will be staggered by 10-15 minutes to help with social distancing.
Grades 1 & 2: 4:30 - 5:30
Grades 3 & 4: 4:45 - 6:00
Grades 5 & 6: 4:45 - 6:00
Grades 7 & 8: 5:00 - 6:15
Games: Tackle football games (grades 3-8) are scheduled to begin the first weekend of October. There will be 6-7 games and the schedule will be released in the coming weeks. Flag football (grades 1-2) scrimmages/games are scheduled to begin mid-September.
In the event that football does not have games, Twin Boro Cheer will continue with our season. Each squad will have a series of showcases to show off their routines and cheers.
Below is a list of some of the measures we will be employing this season for all cheerleaders and teams...
Daily Waiver: All parents must sign a waiver that requires daily monitoring before sending their kids to practice.
Face Coverings: Until guidelines allow otherwise, all coaches will be wearing face masks or face coverings during practices. Athletes will be required to wear masks to and from their practice area. While actively participating in practice, athletes are not required to wear masks. Parents are required to wear masks or face coverings at practice drop off and pick up.
Temperature checks: Before EVERY practice, we will scan all coaches and cheerleaders, and log results. Any cheerleader or coach with above range temperatures will be dismissed from practice. Parents cannot leave their child until they have been cleared.
Hand sanitizing: All participants’ hands will be sanitized before EVERY practice.
No Contact: In order to safely start the season and practice social distancing, our athletes will be spaced as close to 6 ft apart as possible. Until it is deemed safe for our athletes, coaches, cheerleaders will not be stunting or engaging in any activity that requires person toand person contact. Stunting is considered high risk at this time.

No Sharing Equipment: There will be no sharing of equipment or personal belongings.

No Bathroom Access: There will be no access to a bathroom during practice so please have your child go ahead of time.

Attendance Policy: We ask that cheerleaders make consistent attendance a priority this
season. However, anyone who is not feeling well or has been exposed to someone with COVID-
19 symptoms is asked to stay home. Please let your coach know if your athlete will not be
 attending practice.

Note that this list will be updated as more guidelines are released or altered. If you have questions or concerns, please e-mail us: GIGGLEFACE76@MSN.COM

We will continue to provide information as it is finalized. This season may look different than in years past, but we are excited for a safe, fun, and productive season.
