Welcome to the 2008 season for the TWIN BORO BEARS. Last season was another successful year for the Bears program. Our Freshman Flag program had over 50 registered players from ages K-1st grade. Our Varsity Flag team had over 30 players and enjoyed an undefeated season. All 3 Saturday youth levels had winning records with our Clinic Red level competing in the Clinic Level Rockaway Bowl in November. Our Sunday levels once again proved to be formidable opponents within the Morris County Midget Football League. We anticipate another strong year for registration and another banner year on the grid iron. With the help of our generous sponsors and families, we have continued to upgrade our equipment and uniforms. Last year the Bears Program joined together with the Time for Turf Committee in an effort to raise money for the installation of Turf Fields at Mendham HS. The group is very close to their goal and if all goes right, we will be playing on a state of the art facility for the upcoming season. If you haven’t already visited the Time for Turf website, I strongly urge you to do so at www.mendhamturf.com. Take a moment and find out how you can help this project become a reality for the children of the Chesters and the Mendhams. I will continue to update our program as this project continues.

Our registration for 2008 has opened as of April 1st. This year registration will close on June 1st. It is imperative that we have a better handle on the number of players so we can have the proper amount of equipment available for those players. The ordering of equipment is done in the months of April thru June so we have everything ready for August 1st. You can register online or you can respond to the email blast that will be sent out to the entire program. You can also contact me or Lori Sica, our Board Secretary for any assistance with registration. We urge all parents to read the registration forms completely and to please send in all necessary documents along with your forms.

Player evaluations are scheduled for Monday August 4th.
