RE: EQUIPMENT RETURN – DATE & HAND IN PROCEDURES
DATE: NOVEMBER 13, 2009
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Equipment return will take place on Sunday, November 22, 2009, from 8:30 am - 11:00 am at the Garabrant Center, located at 4 Wilson Street in Mendham Borough. We are asking everyone to return their equipment on that day……during that two and half hour window.
In addition, we are asking that each and every player return their equipment in a mesh equipment/laundry bag, labeled with their name, as well as the team they played on during the 2009 season. In that mesh bag should contain the following items:
Ø Game Uniform (Jersey & Pants)
Ø Shoulder Pads
Ø Helmet
Ø Thigh Pads
Ø Knee Pads
Ø Girdle Pads
Ø Belt
We DO NOT want any girdles or practice pants returned. Please give them a good wash and put them to the side for next year.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please shoot me an email or give me a call at (973)-699-3115
ALL:
For those of you that missed the equipment handout in early-June, we will be holding one more football equipment handout on Wednesday, July 22nd between 4pm and 7pm. Equipment handout will occur at the yellow/cream colored equipment shed in the back of Mendham High School. You will have to park on the lower level of the High School, near the filed house - and walk back to the shed. If you have any questions, shoot me an email or give me a call on my cell phone - 973-699-3115.
Save the Date for our Twin Boro Dinner/ Dance which will be held on Saturday Evening, September 19th. For more information or if you would like to be a part of the Dinner Dance Committee, contact Amy Schmeal at 973-884-0597.
Welcome Twin Boro Football Families to the 2009 Season. Early registration is open from now until June 1. We will be doing two days of equipment handout on Thursday June 4 and Friday June 5th from 5-7:30 PM at the Garabrandt Center in Mendham Boro. This year we are asking all families that come to equipment handout, bring some food items as a donation to the Chester Food Pantry. The months of July and August are when the Food Pantry needs the most help and our program has been blessed with so much community help over the years that it only seems right for the Bears to continue to find ways to help out those in need.
Last season proved to be another banner year for the Bears on the gridiron. Our JV squad took home a 2nd place finish in the tough Hills Division of the National Conference. Our Pee Wee and Varsity squads had some big victories during the season and our 3 Saturday level teams finished with only 1 loss on their record. For the first time in our programs history, we had 2 travel flags teams and our K and 1st grade flag program had a record number of participants. The future looks bright for the Bears and I hope our growth continues for the years to come.
I want to once again thank all of our Board Members, Coaches and Parent Volunteers. This program only works because of all of you. We will be losing some wonderful people after this year as their children will be moving on to the high school. If anyone has interest in serving as a Board Member or Volunteer, please contact myself of Lori Sica our Secretary.
Our season will begin on August 1st. Coaches will reach out to team members as we sort through registration, and will notify you about your august practice schedule. The Flag program will not begin until the end of August and once again once registration is sorted out, the Flag Coordinators will contact you. If you are new to our program, please remember to send in a copy of your child’s birth certificate. Returning players remember that you are the program’s best recruiters. Tell your friends about your experience and maybe they will join you for other great season of football.
Enjoy the remainder of your spring sports and I know that you are all doing well in school because you are Bears. See you all in August.
